Prayer and Financial Needs
Prayer
We appreciate your prayers for us as we minister
in Ukraine. Here are some specific prayer requests:
 | Pray for newly ordained pastor of the Mukachevo
congregation, Robert Shpontak, as he
assumes the responsibilities for the Mukachevo congregation. |
 | Pray for the participants of the Timothy Leadership Training to
implement their action plans in their churches and train new leaders in the
TLT module. Pray that God continues to use this training to
develop strong leaders and establish healthy churches. |
 | Pray for the Christian Reformed Church in
Mukachevo, the church plant that we are working with, for growth in numbers
and deeper commitment of members and regular attendees. Pray for the
church as they transition to operating without our direct involvement. |
 | Praise God for providing land for the Mukachevo
congregation's church. You can read more about the church's project to
construct a church on the
church's website. For the time
being, the congregation needs to find a solution to decrease the cost of rent.
Pray that either negotiations can result in lower rent or another location can
be found. |
 | Pray for us as we begin transitioning from
Mukachevo to the US for home service (July 2012-May 2013) and then to Kyiv in
June 2013. |
 | Our spiritual growth - that
we may daily take time to be with God in prayer and reading His word and grow in
our spiritual walk with the Lord. It is easy to be worn down and
over-committed in doing "good work" for God and at the same time neglect our
own spiritual health. |
 | Pray for our language learning as it is
complicated by the fact that we are immersed in 3 foreign languages. The
children are learning Ukrainian and we especially ask for prayer for them that
they can learn to communicate efficiently so that they can be comfortable
living here in Ukraine. |

faithful support of our partners. Contributions can be sent to CRWM,

Special Giving -
In addition to our general support, there
are special projects which need financial support.
|
Pastor Salary Assistance
(Fund Code
805791)
- $2400 Ukraine is very
economically depressed and the global economic crisis is hitting the country
hard. It is very difficult for congregations to support their own pastors,
and even more so in missionary settings. This grant helps pay half the salary
of a missionary-pastor in Ukraine.
Timothy Leadership Training (Fund Code
805832)
- $2000 The Timothy Leadership Training (TLT) is a practical program for
helping pastors and church leaders apply principles of pastoral care, biblical
stewardship, biblical preaching and teaching, etc., and meanwhile train others
in their congregations in these same principles. Donations towards this
project help with the costs of translating the TLT manuals and of hosting the
trainings.
You can contribute to these needs by check,
credit card, or online donation.
To contribute to our regular support, please write our names in the
memo/designation line. To give towards a special project, please indicate the fund code or
the project title on the memo/designation line. All donations are tax
deductible and handled through Christian Reformed World Missions at 2850
Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49560.
