Netflix documentary about Ukraine’s revolution

We relived the events of nearly 2 years ago as we watched Netflix’s recent documentary of the Revolution of Dignity.  We recalled the fear and hope of those tense months which changed Ukraine forever.   As Ukraine’s story is still unfolding, this chapter shapes the future.  If you haven’t watched the documentary yet, it’s well worth it.  Here’s the trailer….

Training Teachers

Friday and Saturday George led Christian teachers from three newly-started Christian schools in Educational Care’s Biblical Worldview training.

This was our first training for teachers in Ukraine and we’re excited to see how God uses the training to impact the teachers, schools, students and communities.

Educational Care is a program produced by Christian Reformed World Missions and used worldwide to equip teachers to teach from a biblical worldview.  It’s success is attributed to the inductive-style and action planning methods that have also produced incredible results in the Timothy Leadership Training.

Peace and Reconciliation Training

George is in Rwanda being trained in how to help communities find peace and reconciliation following ethnic conflict.  He posted on Facebook today the following prayer request:

Praying friends, the participants of the International School of Reconciliation have been divided into four teams and tomorrow we head out to four different communities to lead two-day seminars on “Healing the Wounds of Ethnic Conflict”. Please bathe us in prayer as we are all doing this for the first time, we are in Rwanda and many of the people we will be ministering to carry the deep wounds of the 1994 genocide. Pray that the Spirit would move mightily and that whatever wounds people bring will be left at the feet of Jesus.
