Our 2004 Toyota Sienna has served valiantly the past 7 years over the worst roads in all of Europe. Now it has over 180,000 miles on it and we need to consider a replacement. Due to import duties, vehicles in Ukraine are very expensive. We hope to be able to purchase a reliable 7 or 8 passenger vehicle that is four or five years old. Goal: $30,000 – Contingent Upon Income
Camp is the highlight of the summer for most young people in Eastern Europe. Camps with an “extreme” element successfully attract a large segment of 14-18 year olds. Well trained leadership leads to successful camps and the foundation of a longer-term relationship with these young people connecting many to the local church. This project covers half the cost of training youth leaders from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, in how to run extreme camps. Goal: $2,400 – Contingent Upon Income
– Timothy Leadership Training (805832): TLT promises to bring lasting transformations to people’s lives, families, churches and communities. Together with our partner, the Association for Spiritual Renewal, we are introducing TLT to the different regions of Ukraine. These funds help defray the travel and training costs for the trainings and also provide promotional materials for TLT in Ukraine. Goal: $2,400
– Worship Symposium (806028): In partnership with the Calvin Institute on Christian Worship allows church and worship leaders from Eastern Europe to participate in the annual Worship Symposium in Grand Rapids, MI. Worship and liturgy is critically underdeveloped in Ukraine as evangelical churches had to worry about survival during the last century. Now there is a renewed interest in recovering biblical, theocentric worship. CICW covers the symposium, room and board expenses for the participants while in Grand Rapids. This project’s funds help provide a stipend to cover part of the travel costs for those whose churches cannot support such a large expense. The average cost of a round-trip ticket from Kyiv to Grand Rapids is 1200 USD. Goal: $3,600
