About Us

We, George and Sarah de Vuyst, are missionaries with Resonate Global Mission (formerly known as Christian Reformed World Missions).  We have been serving with Resonate since 1998. Until June 2021, we were in Ukraine.

We began in the western region of Ukraine mentoring local missionaries and planting a Reformed church in the town of Mukachevo.  In 2010, we began using Timothy Leadership Training to equip church leaders in healthy church practices.

In 2013, we moved to the capital city, Kyiv, where George continued to train pastors in the Timothy Leadership Training and facilitate healing and reconciliation through "Healing Hearts, Transforming Nations" (HHTN)  workshops and trainings for facilitators. 

In June 2021, we traveled to Michigan to visit our partner churches, help our oldest daughter transition to college, and introduce Healing Hearts, Transforming Nations in North America. We planned to return overseas in June 2022. Russia's war against Ukraine changed that. God, however, provided opportunity for us to continue ministering around the world while our children finished high school in Michigan. 

We returned to Europe in September 2025, settling in Budapest, Hungary from which we can better serve the Ukrainian refugee communities and contribute to HHTN Global events in Europe and Africa.

We have three young-adult children living in the U.S..

Educational Consulting

Sarah supports students with learning differences & trauma by volunteering for two organizations, Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI-Europe) and another organization that supports global workers. (The organization name is withheld to protect workers in sensitive areas.) Her work involves visiting ACSI member schools, presenting at conferences, developing online courses for ACSI's Teacher and Leader Certification and School Improvement programs, and providing consultation for parents, teachers & school administrators.
